Authorities advise victims of domestic abuse

18th June, 2014

As England prepare for their second group game in the World Cup, which takes place tomorrow evening, authorities in Lincolnshire are issuing a plea to residents not to become a victim of domestic violence.

Figures published before the World Cup started last week revealed that in Lincolnshire during the last financial year, there were 2,000 incidents of domestic abuse reported to Lincolnshire police – and this figure is expected to rise by 27 percent during the World Cup.

As a result, authorities including the police have launched a campaign to tackle incidents in the region, whilst also reminding victims of abuse that they do not have to suffer in silence and that help is out there.

One form of help which is available for victims of domestic violence is via our family law solicitors, who are on hand to offer advice, support and guidance aimed at protecting you and your family from future incidents.
